look at look at look at the over and right I told you in the locker room Bruno it’s been a few minutes since your fight how are you feeling um happy uh relieved the sensation of work well done and you’re going to see a lot of Knockouts in this organization for me how do you feel about your performance go back to St John’s was seen um um um this is one of the folks that I’m most proud of in my career because I I’ve never been a good guy at strategy uh because I’ve always followed my heart but this one I’ve always listened to them but this one I felt that I listened to this strategy a lot for all what my coaches did I mean they all worked so hard in putting on a strategy together and I feel that I I put that to work getting a win over Brad Tavares is a big deal um he’s been in the top 15 for a long time what does a win over Brett Tavares mean to you um eyes um winning against him was very personal to me um because as a guy that’s just he’s fought so many big names and that it shows a lot who he is and also I mean the way they behave themselves is a very respectful Fighter the way that he um that he approaches the fighter that he’s fighting against and plus to his style you want to see a guy that’s just going to be yelling at people on social media just yapping them out in the mouth and just kind of going and just offending people on social media that’s not me you want to see blood and violence inside the Octagon that’s what you got did you did you feel like you were fighting for your job in this fight you know yoga if I told you yes I was fighting for my job I would be lying if I told you no I wasn’t far from my job I’d be lying to I fought for myself I fought for everything that I’ve worked for I fought for my family I fought for everything I represent everything that I bring into the table I mean it’s it’s 20. this organization I fought to I mean just to be here and to I was worried about myself and I thought the times that I walked into the Octagon thinking not to lose I made mistakes and I lost this one I came into the Octagon to win the fight contract my legacy is much larger than my contract and the just attack on the answer for before the UFC could be here today it could be not here tomorrow I don’t know but I’m I fall for myself what are you gonna do with the 50K whoa Familia is I’m going to help my family and I’m going to invest some of it because one day I’m gonna have to stop fighting and I want to be fine I’ve been finally for me just uh when would you like to return and is there anybody that that uh kind of Pops off that that you would like to fight next um [Music] foreign I would say if my managers wouldn’t be here I would say I don’t know but I know that they’re here and they’re already thinking about what’s my next challenge uh I don’t know they’re gonna figure this thing out but I’m telling you this is the first time in my career that I want to enjoy the moment a little bit I just have one I noticed at media day you lined up the the water bottles I’m just curious are you trying to get a sponsorship with monster something is I said this during media day and I’m saying it right now if any of you get me sponsorship for monster he gets a cut I’m on it Bruno congrats on the win how happy with you with boxing because you were at range you found the distance but you also were willing to engage with Brad in some firefights because that was absolutely fun to watch but it was great to see you operate you know on that high level um uh foreign [Music] foreign so there are many ways to approach this fight we had so many different ways to approach this um a box there was a brock there was a boxing approach there was a kicking approach there was a takedown approach there are many different strategies so when I saw that he started kicking me I thought I can’t get into that game and start kicking him because he’s going to be out of range and I cannot damage him with my hands so I stopped and I said all boxing at the end of the day today Adida who’s right here said it many times and I I heard I heard a corner talking and I listened not just hard but I listened and I thought of of what they were saying as well there were a lot of strategies and all of them were basically outline boxing and kicking boxing and takedowns boxing and whatever but always boxing first that was the strategy always based on boxing tonight excellent there and we just got to see your amazing work right now in the monitors please walk me through that finish how you saw the opening and you connected with the full extension of that shot and then the follower uh directly YouTubers um I was talking in the locker room about this so about the moment itself I saw that when I I just told them this is what’s going this is what’s going on I mean there’s going to be that opening there and if I actually find that open if I go straight and that in that line of strike I will get him and from when I got that and everything just came with it so we were planning on it beautiful work congratulations on the fight thank you whatever foreign foreign thank you very much I feel great did you picture the fight going the way that it did or did you expect to have to go a little bit um [Music] to be honest I Was preparing for all five rounds I thought the fight was gonna go five rounds but once I realized that that I’m getting him that there was no reason for me to keep the fight going longer if I had that opportunity to finish it early that’s what I did how soon did you realize that you were going to finish it foreign I could have I could have finished it earlier I mean I got him a couple times really well earlier but I decided not to keep keep my foot on the gas to kind of slow down a little bit and breathe in that octagon a little bit that’s why I’m coughing a little bit because I got lots of air in my lungs what did you think of that smaller octagon did you notice the difference is to be honest not really and uh were you surprised that he didn’t try and take you down I told you I was ready for it why do you think that he fought the way that he did also naturally boys [Music] um foreign when we started the fight I think he understood that the only way for him to take me down is to go down for deep for the double leg and the way he he’s done that before he’s actually been sent to a knockout before he’s been knocked out that way so I understood that there was a lot of danger in that and that’s why the fight was the way it was I think we all know that the next logical step is the title but we also know that it’s being held up right now how long are you willing to wait for that title shot is foreign who do you believe will come out on the other side and that you’ll be fighting next yes honestly it’s a 50 50 toss-up so uh I don’t care who do you think would be easier for you to fight um I wouldn’t say that either of them would be an easy fight I mean they’re both very they’re hard Warriors so I would have to prepare for whoever it is and then be ready for whoever they give me thank you serious with Jon Jones deepik kind of being talked about for November um are you willing to fight maybe like a Serial gun or Tom aspenos to you guys that you were scheduled to fight way back on a few years ago or are you kind of still in the mindset where you will wait uh go ahead with us statistics of that foreign am I not a flashy fighter you’re a flashy fighter I think you answered your own question fighting in Vegas for your first time how was that yeah [Music] actually location does not really make a difference it’s all about your preparations the way you prepared if you prepared correctly you can fight anywhere in the world there was a little clip of you earlier today playing slots before your fight where you just kind of hanging out before leaving to get ready I mean to be honest I’ve never gambled or never played any of those things and a buddy of mine was like here here’s a hundred bucks play try it see how you feel and then somebody else shot the video and now there you go did you win or did you lose pretty girl lose and then finally just how are you going to celebrate this when are you going to go out and eat with the team are you just kind of kind of just hang out which president is honestly haven’t thought about it but yeah we should celebrate in the fight today are you are you surprised that you didn’t finish them earlier Bakers okay thank you were you surprised that you didn’t finish them earlier in the fight because you said that you thought you could have but are you surprised that he didn’t go down sooner uh foreign forced to finish I mean I I realized that he was actually getting some shots through as well and I was excited about that like okay you wanna you wanna fight a little bit let’s fight a little bit so so I wanted to see where it goes and you know then I finished it with a knockout streak that you have are you waiting for that fight where you feel that that challenge that hey somebody can actually hang with me uh I’m not waiting to find somebody like that what I want is I want to get my belt I wanna I wanna try and win this belt because this is a dream of mine from when I was a kid and so I’m I’m working really hard to get to that agreement dream and get that belt are you the most dangerous fighter in the heavyweight division is that’s not a question to me you guys should ask yourself that thank you Sergey congrats on the win fantastic performance you might have lost on the slots but just so you know you were a slight Underdog and the line kept moving closer and closer to almost to pick him so you made some people some money tonight where is my money hey I don’t know um there’s some really proficient Strikers in there from Conor McGregor to Rob font and I’ve seen people like common America’s lead with the uppercut what did you guys see in tape that had you doing that because that’s crazy not only to lead with that shot but a heavyweight to do it your boxing was tremendous tonight yesterday of UFC uh uh what did they see on the tape that had him lead with that uh I mean we were preparing for the fight we were really studying all the video all the tape and so this way you know it wasn’t just an apricot obviously there was an uppercut but there was other punches that was thrown because we really dissected our opponent and we knew what to what to throw out there tremendous job and last for me I think there was one shot that Curtis tried on you and you completely stuffed that do you think that played like a psychological role in that where then he reset and was like all right I guess we’re gonna have to trade yeah that’s what we worked on I mean I understood that if he was going to try and go for a shot and it was basically just going to meet with be met with the brick wall he’ll he’ll start the psychological crumble a little bit and that’s exactly what we worked on that’s what we prepared excellent well congrats on the when you mentioned being in Vegas was a big deal to you so well done you executed and congrats on the Winans just kind of a silly follow-up question about the gambling half the time people play the machines and they have no idea what makes it a win or not did you understand the slot that you were playing and could you tell when you won and or was it kind of confusing and you were just pulling the lever ages all right I’ll tell you what happened first I won um I’m thinking all right maybe I’ll win some more yeah and then I
