Fight week wraps up which means workouts, weight cuts and weigh-ins for the stars of UFC 285. Jon Jones gets a visit from …

– We’re here for the “Weight Cut”. So, it’s gonna be a little bit soft training. A little bit of, only like, accuracy in the punches and that’s it. It’s no more than that. (punching) (punching) – I try to encourage all the girls to learn mixed martial arts because, in Mexico especially, and I guess all over the world, you know, women are kind of target of crimes and that and I just wish that a lot of women have a bigger percentage to defend themselves, and you know, Mixed Martial Arts is not just to defend, like, the body, it helps to have a stronger mind and it keeps you out of doing things that are not healthy for your body. You know, not healthy places to be. (punching) (grunting) – Excellent. – Yeah, I truly would like that every single woman on planet, could help herself defend and be strong, body, mind, and soul. – Mother (beep). Oh! Let’s go! – Mother (beep). – It’s a game, baby! – Let’s go, let’s go. – What’s up man? – Man, I’m honored. I’m honored. – Appreciate you, man. – How you doing, Dave? – Your brother. – American Greatness. – Mother (beep) wants to test your resolve, man. – Yes, he does. – Wants to test your ability to go the distance. So, hey guys! – Yep. – Come in, real quick. – Hey, do your David Goggins. Do your David Goggins. – Come on, man, do that (beep). – You know why I’m out here running? (all laughing) Because I put blood, sweat, tears in this. Ain’t nobody going stop me from doing this. I don’t want to hear your (beep) crying. Just keep doing the work. (all laughing) – You’re in my head, doin’ that (beep). (all laughing and chattering) – Saturday night’s the goal. – To the fight. – So John’s been connecting me, you know, we’ve been connecting back and forth for years. And, uh, you know, the guy’s now, three years out of the ring. He wanted to find a little bit more. The thing about John, he’s able to slow things down and kind of, clear a space out in his mind, and find that right moment. You’re in the ring, and like, there’s cliffs on both sides, and the only way (beep) out, is through that cage door. And that’s the real “Gladiator” sport. You got two men, ain’t worth (beep). You get popped in your (beep) mouth. Your mind goes somewhere. It doesn’t go to a happy spot. It goes to a spot of desperation. “Get out”, “Flee”, “Run”. But you gotta stay in the middle and fight. – Amen. – [All] Amen. Get outta my plate! – It was weird, when you’re doing a fight camp and you’re not trying to cut weight at all. You’re not trying to get in crazy shape because you don’t have to lose any weight. You’re actually trying to put weight on. So, it makes you a little lazier, I feel like. – It does make you a little bit lazier, ’cause you’re like, “I don’t have to do this extra one.” – They both stated that, becoming heavier, they naturally became lazier, ’cause they wanted to keep their size. My mentality is to be heavier, but work harder than I ever have before. I’m excited to show people that, not only am I a full-size Heavyweight, but my endurance hasn’t changed a bit. – [Announcer] Jon Jones, the Heavyweight debut, three years in the making. – Even though it’s been three years, I’m just like, dude, this is, I’ve been doin’ this since I was 21 years old, I’m 35 now. How are you? – Tired. – A little nervous, you know, which is to be expected. It means that I care what I’m doing, but there’s a calm, there’s a peace.
