congratulations on the win Max um how do you feel about the victory oh great I feel great I stream on uh uh on Facebook Facebook gaming Max Hollywood official so everybody who made the BET of me Landing 100 more strikes I take my ten percent thank you guys yes we were gonna we’ve got the footage right here check it out actually yesterday on the show Max let’s go to the videotape we asked that very question will Max Holloway land 100 or more significant strikes versus Arnold Allen yeah I mean I would like to say yes I would like to say 100 yes and um I heard you guys talking before I came on that he has like one of the best defense yep so maybe I can average that out and bring bring his defense average a little bit lower do you think he’ll land more than I think so I mean you know this guy had what 578 against cater I think that is really hard to you know put him less than a hundred if duh was an option that’s what I would say so you got the job done um but we didn’t get to see the Maxi baby talking so does this mean this fight was a little more challenging than you know what you expected maybe uh no he’s just a nice guy man I couldn’t I want to start talking and then every round he’s like smiling at me and putting his thumbs up like damn this guy’s a good good guy you know and then and then the ending the little ending when I stand it over him because he’s like he’s trying to come at me you know so that was about it but the whole round in between rods is like yeah whatever I hit him in the groin if I actually hit me in the groin was like that’s okay so it’s uh it’s hard to talk to him you know I don’t want to talk to a guy like that I got you I got you guys he came pretty hot out the shoot at least in round one then certainly very hot out of the shoot in round five were you surprised to see him try to really put his foot on the gas in this fight more so than in past fights I thought I thought the first two rounds I was uh I was up and I was like okay Fort fit around he’s gonna be coming Fort Ronnie came out easy I was like oh my gosh it’s going he might he might have thought he won a couple of rounds and then to figure out he just came you know and that was that was Arnold was waiting for and he he proved of me that uh that he came he came in he came well prepared mentally you know mentally he came prepared and he was ready to go five and I was like like I said I told you guys before if you guys if you guys want to go five we can go five but if not I’ll let you guys out we will open it at the end a little bit and uh and knock them down but a little too late Max she makes some of the best real-time reads uh in that fight in the first round you’re kind of starting off slow but I see in the second round you kind of in the third round you kind of found a home for that leg kick was that something you were looking for to kind of work that body oh for sure for sure I want to slow him down with the leg kick and my coaches keep telling me look when I go in there and box with him he feel a little bit more comfortable you know and then when we start putting leg kicks and body kicks in there he he started taking guessing himself a little bit and uh we just had to keep on guessing I’m curious for you was there something that you worked on in Camp that you put into action in this fight that you hadn’t done before like did you how did you level up for this fight I didn’t want to get hit you know I mean I didn’t want to get hit too much and I think I got hit less I think so the last round is what this happened but uh I really wanted to get hit and people were talking about my speed and how slow I am and this and that I wanted to show him bro if you guys want to see a clinic I can do about that do a clinic without getting hit you know the cater fight a lot of people said yeah he did that but he still is getting hit a bunch so this one I was like let me see if I can land and I get hit you know a little Floyd Mayweather Roy Jones Jr is in his prime kind of thing you switched stance is way more often than he does how do you feel like that affected his ability to find you because it seemed like maybe it was it was frustrating I’m just a tad and causing him to recalibrate every time he would do that for sure he is confusing we had to keep him guessing we had to keep him guessing these guys uh when they come to this I mean Russia can speak for it he been in there there’s level to this game you know there’s levels and this is just a new level a new a new uh a new era in this game that he’s gonna hit and uh I was glad I’m happy I was the first one to give him to Max you took some big shots in there he came with a big left hook I mean was there any of those shots that kind of rattled you the point where he was like okay I gotta slow some things down a little bit oh no no no no it wasn’t really radical it was more pissed off I was like man I need to stop we’re gonna hit everybody’s plan is to hit me with that damn over overhand because I move my head a certain way and they landed and I didn’t get pissed off so my clothes just kept scrolling me in between rounds so that that’s one of the fixes we were trying to do too all right well there was obviously a very interested party in this fight by the name of Alex volganovsky he tweeted during the fight here saying uh that uh really thought it was a great fight and that you guys have great uh fight IQ so you know it’s a tough conversation but we were saying this yesterday in light of what Israel adesan you just did with Pereira that fourth fight do you think you made an argument for it tonight I love always you know uh all love to Alex he he got his hands full head a year right now and we’ll go from there you know Never Say Never And um we sure did you know everybody keep talking about how slow I was against Alex I think I look pretty good out there so we’ll see what happens you know I like actions like I said I was here I was hearing the critics and I was screaming at the at the social media media over there telling them what now you know what now yeah now you know you’re back on that Journey trying to get back to that title shot now is it something that you want to buy for next or you kind of want to walk a little bit of a path and kind of work out some things before you get back there we see what happens we see what happens it on my team uh watch some tape uh sit down with my agent you know get on the phone and Hunter we go from there you know it’s ain’t no rush they gotta fight we see what happens if there’s another guy that has another guy if not we’re chilling you know oh my uh tomorrow is my a wedding anniversary I owe my wife a trip because uh we can’t be doing a wedding anniversary here in reserves he’s pretty pissed off I I totally forgot and I didn’t even plan nothing so I’m already into you know yeah I’m in the dog house I order a trip you definitely owe her a trip okay I mean Kansas City’s not too bad Max come on here it’s not bad but this is this is a lady who’s like traveling the world we are far from the ocean yeah I got you I got you she expects a lot you know you talk about how you’re not necessarily eyeing a particular fight next if if the volkanovsky fight doesn’t seem like it’s gonna you know come to fruition are you considering a return to 55 if that fight doesn’t happen we see what happens you never say never I mean 55 is 55 if 55 is there and uh there’s a road there then why not you know but if we hear like I said it’s always great to go up to a weight class with a belt you know so at the end of the day uh we’re gonna I’m gonna talk to my management we’ll go from there right now was there something DC owed you as well yeah DC owe me uh Heal Me barbecue okay change your flight DC you owe me barbecue he told me if you win this fight Max I’ll stay and I’ll go buy you barbecue he’s so bad at paying I bet it’s yeah yeah like 2016 yeah yeah guys the worst yeah you’re gonna have to chase him down for that one yeah um and we’ll let you go do that right now Max we know you have a lot to get to you are you’re you know you’re you’re a Fighter’s fighter and a fan
